Robert Joseph Carriere
In Loving Memory of Robert aka (Bob, Yogi, Fuzzy Bear, Marshmallow, Bobbo) Carriere
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Robert (Bob) JE Carriere on July 14, 2025. Born in River Canard (a hamlet of Amherstburg), Ontario. He is survived by his loving wife Sharon (nee Burke) and dog Nico (woof woof) and his children Louise Pitawanakwat (spouse Brian), Robert “Robbie” (spouse Corinne) and Dennis.
Bob was predeceased by his father, Louis, mother, Solange (nee Paquette), brothers Daniel and Michel, father-in-law and mother-in-law. Bob will be dearly missed by his siblings, Evangeline “Angie”, Aurel “Oreo”, Jean-Louis “John” (spouse Margaret “Marg”), Helene “Boo Boo”, and Eduoard “Ed” (spouse Monica), brothers-in-law, James “Jimbo” and Douglas “Doug”, as well as many grandchildren, nephews, nieces, family members and friends. Bob loved the simple joys of life, perfecting the art of napping on the couch. Music was his passion: he enjoyed singing and playing guitar. He loved the outdoors – camping, fishing, biking. He was a member of the Lions Club and volunteered for many organizations such as the Red Cross. He finally succumbed to the inevitable, but not without putting up a valiant fight (and a few expletives). The love he shared and the memories he leaves behind will continue to inspire us. His legacy is one of kindness, laughter and love of music. Bob will be fondly remembered.
Keep laughing, Bob: we’ll laugh with you.

We lost someone incredibly special, and my heart is heavy as I try to find the right words. Uncle Bob was truly one of a kind, he was full of music, mischief, and a warmth that lit up every room he entered. He had a way of making everyone feel seen, included, and always laughing until tears streamed down our faces.
I can still hear his voice through the phone saying, “Who’s that?” whenever he was on speaker with my Mom. It’s like he’s still here… because in so many ways, he is. In every joke, every song, every moment of joy he brought us, he lives on.
He never let anyone sit quietly. If you were in the room, you were in the conversation, you were part of the laughter, you were family. That was just who he was.
My heart aches for Aunt Sharon and his beautiful daughter Louise. I know the loss they’re feeling is immense. We’ll carry him with us always, his voice, his humor, his love and continue to laugh a little louder in his honor.
You’ll always be with us, Yogi Bear. Thank you for the music, the memories, and the laughter that never seemed to end.
Rest Easy mom oncle.
