With heavy hearts the family announce the peaceful passing of CDR M.A.Raihan while surrounded by loved ones, on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at the Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga, Canada, at the age of 70. Beloved husband to Inayet Raihan for 44 years; loving and respected father of Riaz (spouse: Arshi) and Irshad (spouse: Saba); cherished grandfather of Adam, Alisha, Zach and Sophia, and dear brother to Shahnaz, Ajaz, and Heera. Commander Raihan Subhan was a decorated war veteran of the Indian Navy of twenty five years and will be dearly missed by family and friends across the world and respectfully remembered by officers and sailors who served with him. Family will receive friends at St. John’s Dixie Cemetery Chapel (737 Dundas Street East, Mississauga) on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Streetsville Cemetery.

While visiting from US, I was strolling through the beautiful Streetsville Cemetery and came across Honorable Commander Raihan’s grave. RIP and thanks for your honorable service to the community and the country.
