Queen, Judith Geraldine

Oct 3, 1950 – Oct 21, 2020

It is with great sadness that family and friends announce the passing of Judith Geraldine Queen on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Judy leaves behind her partner Ed Brown, her sons Adam (Robyn Elgie) and Andrew (Ashley), her dear grandchildren Ethan, Angus, Griffin and Kira, her nephew Scott Humble and her sister Pearl Carrigan (Martin). Judy taught for the Grand Erie District School Board (formerly Brant County Board of Education) for 43 years. She was well known for her choirs at the Brantford Kiwanis Music Festival. Judy was a wonderful musician whose flute music delighted audiences across the province where she played at various churches, weddings and fundraising events. She also was a member and conductor of several bell ringer ensembles. Judy was a member of Fairview United Church where she often accompanied the Fairview Chorusduring concerts and services. Judy was a generous and empathetic friend who was always willing to serve others and her church, never asking for anything in return. She enjoyed life, laughed often and was up for an adventure or a challenge. She will be missed. Memorial donations in Judy’s memory to Fairview United Church in Brantford would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fairview United Church and a celebration of life service will be held outdoors at the church on Saturday, October 24th @11:00 am. Pre-registration is required at [email protected]
