Peter Michael Grossi

Peter was born on January 26, 1951, and welcomed with his twin into the growing family of Bob and Val. He passed away peacefully, on March 19, 2023, with his beloved wife, Trudy, by his side.

His adventurous and entrepreneurial spirit led him to think outside of the box and fulfill his curiosity. Travelling the world led him to visit six of the seven continents. His favourite places were Toronto, especially Bloor West Village and High Park, Island Grove at Lake Simcoe, and Niagara-on-the-Lake.

Peter was a graduate of the University of Montreal, Loyola College. He established Bloor West Village Real Estate Ltd., and he shared his expertise teaching at several community colleges.

Throughout his life, he contributed his time and passion to many church, charitable and
community groups, always bringing a smile and a friendly hello.

Peter’s love for life was filled with family, faith, food, friends, laughter and great conversations. He was incredibly knowledgeable, always positive, and an unwavering optimist.

Cherished husband of Trudy; and loving brother of Lyn (Michael Cook, deceased), Paulette (Frans Rood), Penny (Val) (Keith Gaebel, deceased), Paul (Catherine Mastromatteo), Rob (Carolyn Sheppard) and Richard (Joanna Knill, deceased).

Peter created incredible memories for his beloved nieces and nephews to treasure. His favourite furry companion, Sam, was by his side for many years.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 3055 Bloor Street West, Etobicoke. A reception will follow in the church hall.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Peter’s honour to Hospice Vaughan or to a charity of your choice.
