Perkins, Lynwood Ivan

Lynwood Ivan Perkins was born in Gordonsville, New Brunswick on February 11, 1929 and passed away peacefully Friday, December 20th, 2019 at Kipling Acres. Loving husband of Patricia, dear father of Catherine (Ronald), Ruth (Jean-Paul) and John (Tone).  Loving grandfather of Casandra (Kim), Liza, Elisabeth, Ida May of Norway and Samantha and David of Brampton and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Survived by his sister Barbara Martin of New Brunswick. Predeceased by parents Samuel and Leila Perkins, sisters Marie and Roberta and brothers, William, Russell, Kempton, Philip, Norval, Millard and Sam Jr.He served in the Royal Canadian Army, from 1950 to 1953 and worked in the Public Service of Canada, Department of Transport for 30 years as a Diesel Engineer.  In earlier years he served in his community for the 54th Division of the Cubs and Scouts Mississauga as Akala. It was said that one could set their clocks every day when he went on his daily walks which he loved. He was loved by all at Kipling Acres Long-Term Care Home where he was a resident from May, 2016 to December 20, 2019.

Remembrances to the Alzheimer’s Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
