David Page
1959-2026
On Thursday, May 14 2026, Dave decided to blow out his daughter’s birthday candles. But she understands; she believes he is getting her back because she was born the same afternoon as the series finale of War & Remembrance aired, and he never let her forget that he missed it.
His quick wit and dry humor will be missed by many but will live on through his children, Berrit (Andrew) and Cullen (Phallyn). Proud Papa to Florence and Taylor, Dave adored his grandchildren and always called at bedtime to check in and see what they were up to. Dave will be missed by the mother of his children, Lee (Tom); his siblings, Darlene (Barry), Denise (Kevin), Danny, Darren (Paula); his step-siblings, Bill, Rob (Joanne), and Beth (Greg); as well as his many nieces, nephews, and many great-nieces & great-nephews. Dave is now reunited with his mother Patricia; his beloved dogs, Penny and Mak; and the his cats. He was predeceased by his stepfather Bill, and stepbrother Carl.
Dave was born and raised in Port Dalhousie where he made many connections and friendships that lasted over 60 years. He was always the one to make others laugh, lend a helping hand in his mom’s garden and give a small history lesson to anyone who would listen. Dave was an avid Leafs and Blue Jays fan but was always his children’s biggest cheerleader. Driving to and from their sporting events, it didn’t matter if it was a snowstorm or a beautiful summer’s day, he always showed up. He could be heard whistling loudly from the corner of the rink and always supporting their dreams.
A celebration of life will take place on Sunday, June 14, 2026 at 12pm at the Port Dalhousie Lions Club to give him the birthday party of a lifetime. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association of Niagara. Arrangements have been entrusted to Tranquility Burial & Cremation Services (Niagara) Inc. Condolences can be shared at tranquilitycremation.com.
