BARR – Norma, Irene (Clarkson)

It is withvery heavy hearts that we had to say good night forever to Norma, Mom, Ma, Nana, Grandma. Norma died peacefully after a long struggle with Progressive Supra Nuclear Palsy. Norma was born in Brantford, Ontario in 1948 and passed away on March 14, 2021. She was a loving wife of 30 years to her devoted husband Paul Barr, her hero, her rock. An extraordinary mother to Michael (Leigh) Rossi and Jannine Rossi (Marc Forget). An ever-loving grandmother to Ethan, Lleyton and Isaac, as well as Cole and Shelby. Norma is survived by her sisters and brothers Doreen Wolski, Karen (Bob) Bilton, Wayne (Cathy) Clarkson and Mark (Mel) Clarkson. She is being greeted at the gates by her deceased sister Bonnie, her mother Gladys and father Ted.

Norma started as a hair stylist at a young age, was then a seamstress at Levi Strauss and finally found her calling for her passion to help others. At fifty years old she went back to school to pursue a career as a Personal Support Worker. She trained many of the PSW’s that assisted her in her final years. Norma was known best for her passion for baking, the infamous carrot cake, her radiant hair, never being seen without lipstick, her perfect skin and soft perfume scent. She will be missed dearly.
Family is asking that in lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the https://pspsocietycanada.ca/home-ngo/donate/ or the https://www.jnh.ca/about-us.php#Donate A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
