Mombourquette, Neil “Kippy”

 

Neil “Kippy” Mombourquette, 79, born in Sydney, Nova Scotia passed away Friday March 22nd, 2024, at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto, Ontario. Neil was a proud Cape Bretoner and cherished his roots. He was a skilled tradesman for over 40 years. Neil perfected baking and eating tea biscuits. He had a love for all candy and sweet treats. He truly loved bringing laughter to all with his sarcastic sense of humor. Neil was a proud fan of cheering for all Canadian sports. Neil enjoyed being a family man; spending time with his children and grandchildren truly brought joy to his life.

 

A devoted family man, Neil found his greatest happiness in the company of his beloved wife, Trudy Watts, his children; Rose-Anne (Matthew) White, Boomer (Alia) Mombourquette, Daniel (Maddy) Mombourquette, and David Mombourquette and his cherished grandchildren, Cohen, Bentley, Trinity, Valerie, and Miguel.

 

Neil was the proud son to the late Neil “Cubie” and Mary Ellen, and dear brother to Dorothy, Tommy, Bobby(deceased), and Wayne.

 

Cremation has already occurred at St. John’s Cemetery and Cremation. A private celebration will be held later to honor his beautiful life.

    To the family of Neil: I just read the obit today. I am sorry for your loss. Neil and I were school mates in the Pier at Holy Redeemer. He and I were the glass alley champions as children at the school. He was a very courageous young man and he and I got into a few spats during those years. lol. That was a long time ago.

    Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon him.
