Whether it was spending endless hours in the office talking all night while he should be working, or out coaching soccer for all three of his kids, Jim was always there.  Spending time with immediate family was equally important. Weekly ventures to Magnetawan even if there was a mountain of work, we were all there together.  In his recent years he took care of his father Gordon and helped his mother Marjorie cope with the ongoing uphill challenges he faced. Dear family and friends of James Harvey Mitchell,

We are volunteers in the community and we would like to express our deepest sympathies for the loss of James.
Death is an enemy that no one wishes to experience but please find comfort in knowing that this is not what our creator intended for us. We want to live, and we want to enjoy life with those we love. It is only natural that we yearn to see our dead loved ones again.

The Bible teaches that most people who have died will be resurrected. Jesus promised that “those in the memorial tombs will…come out”. In harmony with God’s original purpose, those resurrected as humans will have the opportunity to live on a paradise earth. (Luke 23: 43) This promised future includes life for obedient humans. The Bible says: The righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will reside forever upon it.” –Psalms 37:29

Other scripture regarding this lovely promise includes: Job 14:14, 15; Luke 7:11-17; and Acts 24:15

As you look back on the memories you’ve shared with James, please know that the hope that the Bible promises are REAL. We are happy to share the following two short videos in the links below with you. It provides further understanding on why Jesus died for us and the wonderful hope we have of seeing our loved ones in the resurrection. We hope you enjoy them and if you have any further questions or need more answers from the bible please visit our website at https://www.jw.org/en/
