Marcus Antonio Rodney 1996 – 2026

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marcus Antonio Rodney, age 29, on Saturday February 21, 2026. Marcus Antonio Rodney was born on December 25th 1996 at Trillium Hospital in Etobicoke.  Marcus had a smile and demeanor that lit the spaces he occupied.  He loved Cars, the outdoors, football and good food.  He was employed at Blue Giant Equipment Corporation as a welder. He is survived by his Father Carlton Layne, Mother Roxanne Rodney, Siblings Cardell Rodney and Jordan Rodney, his Grandmothers Ruth Rodney, Norma Layne and Grandfather Wilmont Lewis and predeceased by his Grandfather Gordon Alexander Rodney. Marcus has aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family members who he loved and cherished. The family will be holding a public service on Saturday March 14th at St John’s Dixie Cemetery & Crematorium located at 737 Dundas St. E, Mississauga, Ontario L4Y 2B5. http://stjohnsdixie.com For those who would like to celebrate his life, a public viewing will take place from 12 noon to 1pm.  Following the viewing there will be a closed casket service and interment on the grounds of St. John’s Dixie Cemetery & Crematorium.
