MacASKILL, James Clayton

MacASKILL, James Clayton – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of James Clayton MacAskill on May 30, 2018 in his 68th year. Loving husband and best friend of Karen for 42 years. Devoted father of Alicia and Craig. Predeceased by his parents Norman and Eva. Lovingly missed by brothers Gary and Clayton (Marcella), and his sister Valerie (Tim), and numerous nieces and nephews. Sadly missed by cherished friends Doug Townsend, Michael Squires (Port Rowan), and Brian Bosnell. Jim was employed by Burtch Correctional Centre for 30 years and the Brant County Sherriff’s Office. He also worked for 13 years at the Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre. Jim’s friendly, kind and gentle nature endeared him to all who met him. He enjoyed baseball, music, classic cars and motorcycles. However, his first passion was always his family. We wish to thank all the health providers who supported and cared for Jim. Upon Jim’s request, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of his life will take place at a later date. Donations in memory of Jim can be made to the charity of your choice. “You were loved by so many”
