Lynne Margaret Hunt

Lynne Margaret Hunt

April 30, 1953 – April 21, 2023

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lynne, beloved daughter of Audrey Hunt Aitken and stepfather Bob Aitken. Predeceased by her father John Hunt. Loving sister to Susan (Jerry Beardwood) and Robert (Lisa Tiveron). A fun and crazy aunt to Leanne (Mike), Jocelyn (Nick), Taylor, Hailey and great aunt to Carrington, Andrew & Addison. Caring cousin to many in England, Canada & Switzerland. A Mum to all her doggies that she loved and considered her children including Paisley who she leaves behind.

Lynne was born in Hastings, England where she spent her early years, later immigrating to Toronto with her family in 1967 where she continued to live and make her mark.

Although Lynne is no longer with us, her memory will live on forever in our hearts. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, colleagues and all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was an original, a bright light and a force of nature that was always full of love to the core. She touched the hearts of many with her kindness, generosity, and warmth. She had an infectious personality that could light up a room, a mischievous, fun spirit and was always up for a good laugh. She wouldn’t tolerate any BS and her fiery side would protect her sensitive soul. For those that truly knew her, she was 3/4 “bark” and 1/4 “bite”.

Sincere thanks to the healthcare professionals at the Trillium Hospital in Mississauga for their exceptional care and support for Lynne in her final days. The family would also like to express their appreciation to all those that have sent condolences and offered their support during this difficult time. A Celebration of Life will be held in Lynne’s honour this summer in Toronto. In lieu of flowers, you can donate to the ICU Respiratory unit at Trillium Hospital in Mississauga, or any local SPCA, Humane Society or animal welfare organization in honour of Lynne.

Rest in peace Lynnie. Your presence will forever be missed and always be loved.

I first met Lynne in 2001 working at BJL. We bonded over our love of animals and her dog Daisy would love to sunbathe on my desk, which I was happy to accommodate. Lynne was generous, funny and always spoke her mind. I lost touch with her for some years so I am glad that we did reconnect through text, email and a few phone calls in 2022. She will be missed. My condolences to her family and close friends.

I will always remember Lynne for her kindness, her laugh and her ability to bring fun to any situation. I have many fond memories of our family summers at Fenelon Falls, Christmas get togethers and backyard parties at my mom and dad’s. I know she is in heaven now with all the dear Hunt family members she loved so much. Rest in peace Lynne. You will be greatly missed. Love, Julie
