Lucky James Nichols

December 30, 1946 – July 31, 2022

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Lucky Nichols on July 31, 2022 at the age of 75.

He was the son of the late Roy and Audrey (nee Cossitt, Nichols, Smuk).  He was predeceased by his brother Roy, and a brother to MaryLou Regan.

Lucky will be forever missed by his nieces and nephew, Bonny (Gerry) of Calgary, Alberta, Kim (Frank) of Amherst, Nova Scotia and Tim of Amherst Nova Scotia.

Great nieces and nephews Sara (Jon), Ariel (Lance), Heather and Kyle.

From the time Lucky was able to work, he operated the printing presses at Print Shops.  His favorite past time was going to the horse races. In his younger years he enjoyed his yearly trips to Las Vegas.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Heritage Green Nursing Home in Stoney Creek for all the care given to their uncle and compassion shown.

I’ll always remember the time when I was little and we lived on the mountain, you told grandma and grandpa you saw me walking home from school and I was singing to myself. You took me to Woodbine Race Track and taught me to place bets on the horses, win, place, show. I would bet on the colour the jockey was wearing and the colour of the horse which was ok by you. Thank you for being my uncle, I’ll miss you.
