After a courageous battle, it is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Rob, surrounded by his family, on Monday December 2nd, in his 65th year. Beloved husband for 40 years to Debbie. Loving father to Becky (Mark) and Amanda (Torin) and grandfather to Henry and Gavin, brother to Dee (Dan), Vicky and Jeff (Dayna). Predeceased by his  parents Abe and Hazel. Loved brother in law of Bob (Phen), Barb (Don), Vicki (Andy), Scott (Carol). He will be truly missed by his large extended family of cousins, nieces and nephews, aunts,  uncles, as well as many dear friends. In memory of Rob, donations may be made to the St. Joseph’s Lifecare Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.

A celebration of life will be held at Dunsdon Legion, 9 Tollgate Road, Brantford, on Tuesday December 10 from 12pm to 3pm.

    Robert shmuir I just read your obituary today and wish to offer my condolences rob and I attended Alexandra school back in the day and I always admired your love to play baseball and your great laugh I’m sure you were a great dad and grampa I know you will be missed
