Linda Anne Palmer passed away June 23, 2026, peacefully at Brantford General Hospital at the age of 67. She was predeceased by her parents, Margaret and Frank Palmer.
Linda was surrounded by the love of her close friends throughout her lifetime. She will be greatly missed by Leslie (John, predeceased) Woodley; Linda and Keith Holloway; Marion and Dave Hansen; Kathy Woodley; Kim Woodley; Lisa Vigneau (Leonard); Pat Hoshoian; and her cousin, Lorraine McColl of Scotland.
Linda was born in Scotland and immigrated to Canada when she was 8 years old.
In her early years, she worked in the office of Babcock and Wilcox for 17 years, Maccaferri for a time and then as a secretary for two doctors after that.
She enjoyed camping, cherished her many poodles over the years and loved all things Neil Diamond.
She was proud of her Scottish roots and traveled back to Scotland several times. Friends loved how her accent would appear suddenly whenever she spoke with her mom and dad.
In the weeks before her passing, Linda became increasingly aware of her need for a Savior. On May 1st with Pastor Joel Sherbino, and friends by her side, she gave her life and her heart to Jesus Christ. In the days that followed, friends noticed a striking change in her peace and contentment – peace that comes from knowing God.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will take place at a later date.
Special thanks to the doctors and nurses at BGH palliative care for their loving care of her.

It doesn’t seem real at all. We met in high school, 1975, something clicked and we became fast friends. You introduced me to the love of my life and were a bridesmaid at our wedding. Keith and I just celebrated our 49th anniversary. You watched my children grow up, then my grandchildren. We went on camping trips together summer after summer, concerts to see ELO, The Eagles and Neil Diamond to name a few. There were shopping trips to the States with the girls. We sat over many a meal together, shared intimate conversations, danced, laughed and cried through loss together. You know me better than almost anyone else does. How do I saw goodbye now? I won’t. By the grace of God, I’ll say, “Can’t wait to see you again, Linda.”

I will miss Linda so very much. So many cherished memories to hold on to. All the camping trips and pig roasts and celebrating birthdays and anniversaries. The girls annual Christmas party, our trip to the States . Linda found peace with her faith and acceptance of God as her savior and is now in his arms. Rest in peace my friend.

I met Linda when I worked at Babcock & Wilcox Co. We had dated for a few years. I have fond memories of Linda. We had some very good times. Such a nice person. I am saddened of her passing . Please except my deepest condolences to her family and friends.
