In Loving Memory of Lillian Nina Tanchak
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Lillian Nina Tanchak at her home in Waterford, ON, on Thursday, October 29th in her 92nd year.
Lily was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister and cherished partner. She was predeceased by her husband, John Tanchak, in 2016, as well as her beloved sister, Luba, and her brother, Walter.
She leaves behind her loving partner and best friend, George Pond, who will miss her dearly.
Lily will be lovingly remembered by her three children: Larry Tanchak, Garry Tanchak (Julie Moroch), and Susan Woodley-Essig.
Her love and legacy continues through her six grandchildren: Theodore and Harrison, children of Larry; Jessica and Carley, children of Garry; and Johnathon and Noah, children of Susan.
She is also survived by her dear sister, Esther, and her family.
Lily was also part of George’s family, and will be fondly remembered by his children, Heather and David, and their families.
She will be remembered as a top producer in the Simcoe and District Real Estate Board back in the 1970’s and 80’s, often being cited as the salesperson of the month.
Lily loved to cook and was often found in the kitchen in the early hours of the morning with a pie, cookies or a batch of muffins in the oven. She had a passion for cooking and serving people.
She loved reading whatever she could lay her hands on. She enjoyed John Grisham novels, nature magazines, local newspapers, but especially her Bible, which she had read more than once. Lily was bold in her faith, belief in God and eternal life.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
