Joseph Ronald Power
March 23, 1945 – May 2, 2026
Joseph Power passed away peacefully at home at the age of 81, leaving behind a legacy of quiet strength, deep love, and unwavering devotion to his family.
Born in Windsor, Newfoundland, Joseph later made his life in Ontario, growing up in Toronto and spending years in Coe Hill, Oshawa, and Beaverton. Wherever he lived, he carried with him a gentle spirit and a steady presence that brought comfort to those around him.
He is predeceased by his beloved parents, Joseph and Elizabeth Power, and by his cherished wife of 56 years, Joanne – the love of his life – with whom he is now reunited. Their bond was a true partnership, filled with love, loyalty, and shared memories that will live on in those who knew them.
Joseph will be lovingly remembered by his children: Jason (Nancy), Selena (Robert), Joseph (Sarah), and William. He was a proud and caring grandfather to Matthew (Jen), Riley, Tyler, Jessica, and Georgia, and a delighted great-grandfather to Hudson. His family was his greatest joy and his proudest accomplishment.
A man of few words, Joseph expressed his love in quiet but meaningful ways. His eyes would light up at any mention of his children and grandchildren, and his pride in them was unmistakable. He found simple pleasures in life – bird watching, listening to oldies music, and spending time with those he loved most.
Joseph will be remembered for his kind heart, his loyalty, and the warmth he brought into the lives of his family. He will be deeply missed and forever held in their hearts.
