In Loving Memory of John Kenneth Collings

It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of John Collings on August 29, 2026, in his 76th year, surrounded by his loved ones.

He was the beloved husband of Debbie, the love of his life; devoted father of Tracy (Greg) and Shawn (Claire); and loving Papa of Mackenzie, Evan, Caitlyn, and Emma.

He will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Beverly, and predeceased by his stepfather, Bill. He will be deeply missed by his siblings Brenda (Allan), Michael (Pam), and Carrie (Gary), his nieces and nephews, and special friends Lori, Brian and family.

He loved playing his drums, fishing, and baseball, but his greatest joy was his family. He was a warm and caring man who was loved by everyone who knew him.

Special thank you to all the Doctors and nurses who have provided care throughout the years.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Forever loved, forever missed, and forever in our hearts.

Although I have not seen or conversed with John in many years, my thoughts go back to the early ‘70’s when we worked together at Woolco in downtown Brantford. He always had a smile on his face and got along with everyone.
We met up again in early 80’s when we worked @ Dafoe & Dafoe in Cainsville. I was honoured to have him stand with me as an usher when Sharon and I were married in 1975. I remember John & Debbie hosting a birthday party in my honour at their home on Tom Street.
Like I said before, much water has passed under this bridge called life; but I will always remember John as a good friend and I wish my deepest heartfelt condolences to Debbie, Sean and Tracy and their families as you remember John these coming days. Prayers lifted on your behalf today.

Our heart is truly breaking for you and your family. We are so deeply sorry for your loss. There are no words that can ever make a loss like this easier, but we hope you can find some comfort in knowing how deeply loved and cherished he was.
May all the beautiful memories, the laughter, the moments shared, and the love you carry for him help you through the days ahead.
