Richard Ivan Hayhurst (known as Ivan) of Brantford, Ont., sadly passed away peacefully at the Brantford General Hospital on August 27, 2026. Ivan was born September 19, 1935 to Richard and Madilin Hayhurst, sister Katie (Denis) Kuck. Ivan married his wife, Patrica Kay Myhal, November 1, 1958. Ivan was survived by sons Glen (Sue), Jeff (Sherri), Rod (Brenda), Grandchildren Terry (Cindy) Hayhurst, Kyle (Holly) Hayhurst, Kasey (Payton) Hayhurst, Kelly (Mia) Hayhurst, Taylor, Sarah Hayhurst, Carrie Hayhurst, Great Grandchildren, Paris, Jacob, Paiten, Willow, Edison, Meadow, Max and Alex, Nephew Burtch Kuck
Ivan worked as a salesman for David Brown Tractors throughout most of his life as well as Greens Keeper for the Ava Golf Course and Lyndsay Arms Golf Course. Ivan was also very active in the Brant County Snooker League, the Brant County Mix Dart League, Ivan was a long member and passionate car racer with the Grand Valley Car Club.
The Hayhurst family would like to invite all family and friends to celebrate Ivan’s life at the Knights of Columbus, 12 Catharine Ave., Brantford, Ont., on October 3rd, between 12pm to 3pm

DearPat, and all the Hayhurst Family.
Maureen and I were shocked and so saddened to hear of the passing of your dear Ivan, a husband, soulmate, and a dear father to a beautiful family who will miss him so much.
May God bless and keep him in Heaven until you meet again.
We love,and are thinking of you all at this saddest of times.
Ivan was a real gentleman and I liked him from the minute we met at the Lyndsay Arms all those years ago. RIP dear friend.
