Obituary for a Cherished Sister – Julita
It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of our cherished sister, Julita, who peacefully departed at the age of 85.
Julita was born in Las Piñas into a close-knit family of nine children—six sisters and two brothers. From an early age, she embodied resilience, kindness, and a strong sense of family responsibility that would define her life.
In 1969, Julita bravely emigrated to Canada in search of better opportunities. Through hard work and determination, she built a new life and became a pillar for her family. With generosity and sacrifice, she helped sponsor her loved ones—including her parents—so they could reunite and build a future together. Her strength and selflessness created opportunities that changed the course of her family’s lives, and for this, her family owes her a sincere debt of gratitude.
A skilled seamstress in her earlier years and later an office worker, Julita took pride in everything she did and was known for her dedication, patience, and strong work ethic. She was a devoted sister whose love and support were constant and unwavering. Julita’s gentle spirit, warm heart, and quiet strength touched everyone who knew her. She will always be remembered for her compassion, humility, and the deep care she showed to her family.
She is predeceased by her beloved mother Felisa, father Domingo, sister Nora, and brother Ramon.
She is lovingly remembered by her sisters Lucy, Mila, Remie, Linda, and Amparo, and her brother George, along with many nieces, nephews, relatives, and dear friends.
“Mahal ka namin, Julita. Hindi ka namin malilimutan.”
(We love you, Julita. We will never forget you.)
Though she is no longer with us, her love, sacrifice, and legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
