David George Petit-Pas (“Mr. Grumpy”)
September 9, 1948 – February 4, 2026
Born in Arvida, Quebec, the 2nd child of the late Margaret (Giles – 1998) and Leo Petit-Pas (1955). David was predeceased by his brother John (2008), Sister Lucille (2019), brother-in-law Lyle (2010) and son Yvan (2013). He is survived by his wife Chrystal, sister Dorothee, brother Eddie and his daughter Renee and son-in-law Shawn (Sorensen).
David was extremely proud of his French heritage and love of the Montreal Canadiens was deep in his DNA.
He enjoyed playing hockey in the SEALS league and the French Club league.
Music filled every aspect of his life, starting with Loosends and the Grumpy Old Men, and he played the service clubs for many years, making many life long friends along the way. David was also a proud 20 year member of the Royal Canadian Legion and often used his musical talents to help raise funds.
He loved all dogs and his best friend Ringo will dearly miss him. A Celebration of life will be held from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM on 2026-03-08 at R.C. Legion Br. 461 Dunsdon, 9 Tollgate Rd. All musicians are invited to bring their instruments and join in the celebration.
