John Edward Hill
February 8 1941 – March 28 2024
John passed away peacefully in his home on the farm after a short battle
with cancer surrounded by his family. John will be greatly missed by the
love of his life Pam, married since 1961. John was a devoted father to
Lori (Jim), Greg, Chris and daughter-in-law Shelley. He was the proud
grandfather to Jeremy (Kim), Bradley (Laura), Ashley (Steve) Brittany
(Nick) Keighly (Blair) Ashlyn, Skye and Cassie. John is also survived by 7
great grandchildren. John is predeceased by his oldest son Jamie after his
own battle with cancer. Pups Bently, Charlie and Indy will miss their fun
times with John. At the age of 83 John was still working with cattle, even
helping to deliver a healthy bull calf just weeks before his passing. John
spent the first part of his life running the dairy farm he was raised on. In
1973 he became farm manager of Onondaga Farms and continued on
when it became a Tim Hortons camp for kids until his retirement at 82.
John was grateful to have been able to say goodbye to so many family,
friends and co-workers whose lives he had touched. Celebration of life
will be held April 20 th at Forward Church Cambridge. 55 Franklin Blvd.
Visitation 1pm, service 2pm. Refreshments to follow.
