Michele Georgina Bayna Reid Hazlett passed away peacefully on April 25, 2026, at the Greater Niagara General Hospital in her 71st year. She will be sorely missed by the kids she was so proud of, Luke Hazlett (Heather Anderson) and Lindsey Hazlett, as well as her partner of many years, Sam Varmeshon. She was blessed with grandchildren, Josh and Leah Miles, and Merida Anderson Hazlett.
She will be lovingly missed by her sister, Carmen Reid Weatherup (Gary Weatherup); her nephew, G.J. Weatherup; her niece, Charmaine Michele Weatherup; her favourite cousin, Joyce Meeklem Taylor (John Taylor); and lastly, her cats, Tubby and Mr. Gray.
Michele was predeceased by her parents, John Ringland Reid and Yvonne Elizabeth Stewart Reid; her husband, Randy Hazlett; and her brother, Stewart Reid.
In keeping with Michele’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to Tranquility Burial & Cremation Services (Niagara) Inc. Condolences can be shared at tranquilitycremation.com
