Gemmell, Jean

On January 8, 2019 Jean Gemmell passed away peacefully at the age of 89. She was the beloved wife of Tom and wonderful mother to Debra, Warren, Sandra and Wayne.  Jean was also the feisty and funny Grandma to Jacelyn, Erin, Courtney, Taylor, Matthew, Mark, Paul, Alex, David, Jennifer and Chris.

Thank you to the Wenleigh Long Term Care Residence for their wonderful care of Jean during the time that she lived there.

She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all.

We love you Mom!

As an expression of sympathy, donations made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.

    Dear Rhamey/Gimmell and extended families,
We are really sorry for your loss. I know how close you were to your mother and the deep influence she had on you. When a Mother dies we lose a piece of who we are. We lose the person whose story provide the beginning of our own.
    God bless,
    The Gallagher Family

Jean was like my second mom when I was growing up. I will never forget her potato scones. And will always remember the Jell-O contest we had… The competition was fierce. There was always a place for me around that table. Loved you Jean!

My deepest sympathy to all of the family. Jean will be missed.
My mom is in 204 just down the hall. Your mom was the official greeter for the 2nd floor. Whoever walked in got a friendly hello from her.
She loved her dogs and always asked about the weather outside.
May you find peace and comfort at this difficult time.
    Susan
