Gary Summerhays

It is with great sadness that the family of Gary Summerhays  son of the late Lorne and Stephanie, announce his passing. Gary will  be forever missed by his wife Teresa, his sons Gary Jr. ( Karen),  Steve (Krissy) and Robbie. Gary had 3 beautiful  grandchildren Ashton, Griffin and Willow that he loved very much. He also leaves behind  his brothers Johnny (Sally), Terry and his sister Sandy (Bob). Gary loved children and will be greatly  missed by his many nieces and nephew. Gary worked until retirement  at SC Johnson’s Wax. He also had a successful  boxing career where he won the Canadian Light Heavy Weight title and the British Common Wealth Title. Gary will be fondly remembered by the community that he loved so much. Gary will be cremated and a celebration  of life will be held at a later date for friends and family. Special thanks to the nurses and staff at St. Joseph’s Life care. They went above and beyond in their care for Gary. Donations can be made on Gary’s behalf to the Alzheimers Society of Canada. Arrangements are being handled by Tranquility Cremation
