Robert Forshaw

1953-2026

In Loving Memory of Robert “Bob” Forshaw

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert “Bob” Forshaw, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend.

Bob will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Yvonne Blais, and his children, Roberta Forshaw and Nicholas Forshaw (Leanne). He was a proud grandfather to Jordan, Cullan, Lillian, Cecilia, Justyn, and Jayden, and a cherished great-grandfather to Zevryn.

He was a treasured brother to Darlene and Sue and was predeceased by his sister Bonnie and brother Dennis. Bob will also be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and countless friends whose lives he touched.

Bob dedicated 40 years to the Board of Education, where he built a long and meaningful career. In 1995, he was proud to be part of the opening team in Table Games at Casino Niagara, beginning another career that he enjoyed for more than 20 years before retiring. Beyond his working life, Bob found joy in many pursuits. He was a passionate baseball player and umpire and enjoyed his time as a disc jockey, along with the many friendships and memories made throughout the years. Bob’s love of life, his sense of humour, and his generous spirit will remain fondly remembered by all who knew him.

In keeping with Robert’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to Tranquility Burial & Cremation Services (Niagara) Inc. Condolences may be shared at tranquilitycremation.com. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, September 13, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at 1180 Barton Street East, Hamilton, Branch 58 Royal Canadian Legion. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated. Bob will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him
