Feely, Arlene Joyce

ARLENE JOYCE FEELY July 4, 1936 – August 16, 2022 It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Arlene Joyce Feely in Brantford on August 16,2022 in her 87th year. Born in Dundas to Ralph and Daisy Coombes, Arlene was predeceased by her Husband, High School sweetheart of over 60 years and BCI Student Council rival – John Feely. Arlene was a loving and devoted Mother to Paul and Kim (Britton), Dave and Tracey (Thomson), Steve and Elaine (Conroy) and Patrick and Denise (Amo). She was a loving “Nana” (Grandma) to Michael, Patrick John, Emilee-Mae, Hannah, Kirsty and Macey and will be dearly missed by sisters Marylin Gifford and Debbie Main; she was predeceased by her Brother Robert (Bob) Coombes. She will be also be missed by many Nieces, Nephews and friends. Arlene was the closest thing to a Saint; always putting the needs of others before her own. She was humble, kind, generous, gentle, loving, soft spoken and patient. Above all, she was a woman of strong yet quiet faith; full of good deeds and not merely of words. She was a member of Farringdon Independent Church and served as deacon there for many years. Arlene’s concern for the well being of others was large; she donated both time and money to many causes, including Lupus Canada, The Canadian Cancer Society, World Vision Child Sponsorship, Leprosy Mission Canada, to name a few. The quintessential lady of her times, Arlene was both prim and proper yet relaxed and casual at the same time. She never complained, was slow to anger and lived by her own motto, “If you don’t have something nice to say about someone don’t say anything at all”. This is even more remarkable considering that she took care of her husband and raised four rambuctious sons. Arlene was truly an ANGEL on earth! Arlene loved and enjoyed her family the most of all and never missed a chance to let them know this deep down in their bones. We love you, we miss you, you will be remembered always… It was Arlene’s wish to be cremated. She will rest with her Husband John at Farringdon Burial Ground. In lieu of flowers, please send condolences to tranquilitycremation.com. A celebration of John and Arlene’s life will be announced at a later date.
