Elvins, James Douglas

Sep. 23, 1951- Jan. 26,2020

We are heart broken to announce the passing of James (Jim) Elvins in his 69th year at the Brantford General Hospital surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of Lynn for 43 years, cherished father of Sarah (Will), Justin (Julia) and Jeremy.

“God saw you getting tired, and a cure was not to be; So he put his arms around you, And whispered, “come to me”. With  tearful eyes we watched you, And saw you pass away; Although we love you dearly, we could not make you stay, A golden heart stopped beating, Hard working hands to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.

Friends and family will be invited to a celebration of life that will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Brantford S.P.C.A.

Dad, I love you and miss you so much. Your jokes, your laughter, your rhymes and silly songs. Your stories, and the way you teased us and made us smile. There are a million reasons and ways I will miss you.
I held your hand and watched you take your last breath, you will always be in my heart because in there you’re still alive. xox
