In Loving Memory of Elsie Corbett
May 15, 1937-April 22, 2026
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Elsie Mae Corbett who peacefully passed away at the Brantford General Hospital on Wednesday April 22nd, 2026 after a brief illness.
She leaves to mourn, her loving husband of 61 years, Hugh and son Brian.
Elsie was predeceased by husband Edwin (Buryta), daughter Cathy, and her parents Peter and Mary Balog.
Elsie was born in Brantford on May 15, 1937 and after many years living in Burlington returned back to Brantford.
For most of Elsie’s life she was at home making a wonderful life full of great memories for Hugh, Cathy, Brian and herself.
Elsie was a member of the Catholic Women’s League for over 50 years, she loved Scottish Country dancing with Hugh and their friends and she loved to entertain friends and relatives with her
Cooking, wonderful conversations, laughter and love.
Elsie’s Faith was strong and never ending.
The family wishes to thank the Doctors and Nurses at the General Hospital as well as the Nursing staff at Chartwell Tranquility and Dr. Cicoria for all their kindness and care for Elsie.
As per Elsie’s wishes there will be no Mass. Cremation will take place followed by a family internment at a later date.
Although Elsie’s earthly departure has left a hole in our hearts, she has left everyone who knew her fond memories to hold dearly.
Elsie will be missed.
