It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Rick, our beloved Brother, Uncle, Cousin and friend who passed away peacefully after a brief and brave battle with cancer on March 1st 2023, at Credit Valley Hospital.
Born on September 2nd , 1955 in St. Johns, NL to the late Margaret and Edward Scott, and predeceased by his brothers Gerrard, Paul (Joe), Mike (Patsy) and Ron (Ruby). Rick was survived by his siblings, Diane (Wayne), Doreen (George), Elizabeth (Harry), Debbie, Duaine, Darrell, Larry and Billy (Debbie), as well as his many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that will miss him, always.
Rick was a loyal and respected employee, working as a Supervisor at Shoppers Drug Mart for the last 20 years. He was an avid Bingo player (occasional winner) but was also known for his sharp sense of humor, gentle soul and unimaginable generosity.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at http://tranquilityfuneralservice.com. Cremation has been taken place. Ricks final wishes were to spend eternity at sea. Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life in St Johns, Newfoundland with a date yet to be determined for later this year.

I am so sorry for your families loss.
Rick was such a wonderful man he always made me laugh and smile at work! He was tough as nails yet so so kind and caring, always made sure I got into my car after a late night shift and watched over everyone.
My tears wont stop rolling after hearing the news this morning.. I am proud to have called Rick my friend. Rest in Peace Rick I wish you eternal happiness in heaven.
