It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Earl Stanley Fletcher on Sunday, September 20, 2026, at the age of 76. Earl was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle.
Earl was the beloved husband of Laura (née Duff), his wife of 54 years. Earl was the proud father of Jason (Dorothy) and Lesley. Loving Papa of Ashley, Dana, Chelsea (Aidan), Peyton, Jordon, and Nathan. He was also the cherished Great-Grandfather of Leah, Cian, Evie, Willow Ollie, Charlotte, and the late Spencer.
Earl was the son of the late James and Bridget Fletcher; son-in-law to the late Frank and Norah Duff; oldest brother to John (Robey), the late Cheryl, Jimmy (Sandy) and the late Matthew; & brother-in-law to Patricia (Joseph) Fiorillo. He will be dearly missed by his many nieces and nephews some who affectionately knew him as “Unkie”.
Earl served 33 years with The Halton Regional Police Service, dedicating his career to helping others. His commitment to charitable work was recognized as he received The Order of The Dragon for his fundraising efforts for The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. He was also the recipient of The Herman Goldstein Award from the United States Department of Justice in recognition of his work in Problem Oriented Policing.
Although Earl loved being a police officer and was proud of his accomplishments it never compared to his family he loved so deeply.
In keeping with Earl’s wishes, cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations in Earl’s memory may be made to the organization of your choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Tranquility Burial & Cremation Services (Niagara) Inc. Condolences can be shared at tranquilitycremation.com
