Douglas Ronald Marshall
“Trucker Doug”
1954-2026
It is with heavy hearts and fond memories that we announce the passing of Douglas Ronald Marshall “Trucker Doug”, who left us on April 7, 2026, at the age of 71. Predeceased by his beloved bride, Sharon (2010). He will be dearly missed by his sons Ron Marshall (Jennifer) and Andy Marshall (Monica), his grandchildren Samantha Paxton (Lucas), Adam Marshall (Breezeanne), and Jessica Marshall, and his great-grandchildren Annabelle, Landan, and Jessie. Forever in the hearts of his sisters Ginette Houser (John), Joan Watson (Rick), Karen Passmore (Larry), Sharon Souter (Kevin), and his brothers Phil (Penny) and Glen, along with several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Frank and Shirley Marshall.
Originally a Dunnville boy, he then made his home in Port Colborne, and his final home was in Huntsville.
Doug was born with the gift of gab and would strike up a conversation with anyone and everyone. He had a quirky sense of humour and loved telling his stories and jokes.
“Trucker Doug” was a long haul and short haul trucker for over 40 years, as a proud owner operator and then working for several companies during his tenure. He made many friends along the way. He achieved many safety awards during his trucking days.
Keep on Truckin’ Doug, back to be reunited with your love Sharon.
The family wishes to express gratitude for the wonderful and thoughtful care at Albright Manor.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate a donation to the Alzheimer/Dementia Society in your area.
In honouring Doug’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to Tranquility burial & cremation services (Niagara) Inc. Condolences can be shared at tranquilitycremation.com

My heart is heavy, but also full of gratitude for the ten wonderful years we shared together.
Doug loved my children, Ryan and Leanne, and their spouses. And oh, how he loved their kids — his “knuckleheads.” They brought him so much joy, and he never missed a chance to laugh with them, tease them, or share one of his many stories.
We travelled often, took road trips, played countless games of euchre with my parents and friends, and spent many evenings simply enjoying each other’s company, or for him…napping after supper.
Doug loved deeply, gave freely, and lived fully. I will miss his smile, his stories, his steady presence, and the comfort of knowing he was always there.
He will always be in my heart.
Rest easy Doug XOXO
