In her 97th year, it is with great sadness the family of Doreen Lowery announces her passing on October 9th, 2026 at St. Josephs Life Care Centre in Brantford.
Doreen was born and raised in Toronto. In the 1980’s she made Barrie, Ont. her home. She was friendly, outgoing and made many friendships along the way. Her’s was a life well lived. She was always up for adventure and fun. Spending her summers at the Wasaga family cottage and winters at her mobile home in Florida. A beautiful woman both inside and out, she brought love, joy and hope to all who knew her.
She will be greatly missed by her daughters Lee (Preston) and Karen (Hitchcock), sons-in-law Jim and Les, grandchildren Robbie (Sarah), John (Angie), Tyler (April), Andy and great grandchildren Isla, Emme, Archer, Chris, Micheal, Sadie, Dodge and Ben. Niece Rhonda Webber (Rick).
A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Barrie.
