In Loving Memory of David Anthony Kiss
April 20, 1959 – November 4, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David Anthony Kiss on November 4, 2026, at the age of 67.
David was the beloved husband of Diane (Hunt) Kiss, whom he married on July 31, 1976. Together they shared 50 years of marriage, building a life filled with love, family, and countless memories.
David was a proud father to his two sons, Andrew David Kiss (Lisa) and Todd Christopher Kiss. He was also a loving and proud grandfather to Matthew (Marlee), Nathan, and Quinn Kiss, who brought him so much joy.
One of David’s greatest passions in life was watching his children and grandchildren play hockey. He loved being in the stands, cheering them on, and sharing in their excitement and accomplishments. Those hockey memories and family moments will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those who loved him.
David was employed at Canvil in Simcoe, Ontario, until its closure, where he dedicated many years of his working life.
He was the son of the late John (2004) and Helen Kiss (1991), and was predeceased by his brother Frank Kiss (2019). He will be lovingly remembered by his brothers Al Kish (Bev, 2017) and Les (Kathy) Kiss; his sister Kathy (George) Douglas; and his sisters Helen Kiss and Liz Kiss.
David also leaves behind many sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews, along with extended family and friends who will cherish his memory.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to VON Care Partners and the Palliative Care Teams of Oxford County for the amazing care, kindness, compassion, and concern shown to David and his family. Your support and dedication meant more than words can express, and we will always be grateful.
David’s greatest legacy is the family he loved. His pride in his children and grandchildren, especially the many hours spent watching hockey from the stands, will remain fond memories.
Cremation has taken place. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Tranquility Burial & Cremation Services Inc.
Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts
Rest peacefully, David. Your seat in the stands may be empty, but you will forever be cheering in our hearts.
Forever loved. Forever missed.
