Cynthia May Bureau (nee Clarke)

June 22, 1954 ~ April 27, 2023

Cynthia May Bureau, age 68, of Cambridge, Ontario (previously of Bell Island, Newfoundland), passed away peacefully at Cambridge Memorial Hospital with family by her side on April 27th, 2023.

Beloved wife of her late husband of 47 years, Armand Bureau (2021). Loving step-mother of Diane Hawley (Doug) and Christine Cooper (Jon). Adored grandma of Carolyn Hawley, Jackie Hawley (Scott), Katelyn Cooper (Matt) and Matthew Cooper (Sidney). Great-grandma of Evelina, Claire and Sadie. Precious memories are left with her sisters Linda Joy Beaton, Marilyn Biernacki (Peter), Sharon Kennett (Terry) and Debbie Blanchard (Ron), sisters-in-law Linda Lynch and Elizabeth Clarke, 13 nieces and nephews and 17 great-nieces and great-nephews.

Cynthia was predeceased by her parents Aderian and Lucy Clarke, brothers Eddie Lynch, Holden Clarke, and Wayne Clarke, sister Brenda Clarke and nephew Holden Clarke Jr.

Our sincerest thank you to the Palliative Team (Cindy Shobbrook NP, and Dr. Hahn) for providing Cynthia with care and support through her long battle with cancer. Dr. Iqbal and staff from The Ivey Eye Institute of London, and Dr. Tam and the staff at Medical Day Care at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital.

Cremation has taken place and a private family gathering will be held at a later date.

Cynthia has earned her angel wings and will forever be remembered in the presence of butterflies.

    However you had them on earth also. Wonderful , kind , caring woman. You sure made me feel loved and welcomed over th years. Thank you

    My Deepest Sympathies to all of Cynthia’s family and friends .
    She was a gentle and beautiful soul of a person .
    Heaven will be a better place when she entered through
    those Golden Gates . God Bless you Cynt and i am sure
    your dear hubby was waiting with open arms to welcome you.
