CROMIE, David John With his family at his side, John’s long fought battle with cancer ended on Sunday June 4th at the Stedman Community Hospice. He leaves behind his best friend and loving wife of 53 years Mary (Dawes). He will be greatly missed by daughters Dawn (deceased Mark) Rees, Marsha (Robert) Huff and son Carl (Amber) Cromie. Loving Papa to Caleb and Candace Rees, Taylor and Cameron Huff. John grew up in the Peterborough area and attended McMaster University. He then went on to teach for the Brant County Board of Education for 30 years. John influenced the lives of many as a coach and teacher. He was an active leader for the Christadelphian Youth Group for many years. In his retirement, John and Mary split their time between their home in the Peterborough area and Fort Myers, Florida. Friends and family will be received at the Brantford Chirstadelphian Hall, 442 Dunsdon Street, Brantford on Saturday June 10, 2017 from 11:00- 1:00, with a Celebration of Life Service starting at 1:00p.m. If desired donations may be made to Stedman Community Hospice or Agape In Action.
