Christie, Alexander Cameron –
Alex passed away November 23rd 2016 at Trillium Hospital in Mississauga Ontario at the age of 68 years. He is survived by two children: Shannon Christie and Mathew Christie both of Mississauga, Ontario, who were with their father when he passed; his sister Patricia Clarke of Barrie, Ontario. Alex was predeceased by his wife Jeanette Christie (nee Denny). Private arrangements were made for Mr. Christie at his request. Alex was diagnosed with a Glioblastoma Brain Tumour in June. In memoriam, donations can be made to the Brain Tumour Foundation in Mr. Christie’s name.
I know his daughter and he must have been great to raise such a wonderful and successful woman. Go with peace and know that you are loved.
I am sorry for your loss. I am interested in the Petrie/Magnet equipment and was looking forward to seeing the work Alex had done in bringing the history of the Petrie building and his other ventures to the guelph museum . Thankyou
Alex would always come into my store when I was in Old Quebec Street Shoppes, and show me his 3D creation of the The Petrie Building. He would talk about his kids a lot and even bought me a photograph that his daughter, Shannon L. Christie Photography & Art, was selling, which I have hanging in my store now. He had a wonderful smile, and he finally made his dream come true by seeing the The Petrie Building be brought back to its former glory. I wish he had seen it finished. We was a wonderful addition to the The City of Guelph and I will miss him. Rest in peace, my friend.
