Burton, Michael “Mike”
With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Mike at the West Lincoin Memorial Hospital on Friday, April 22, 2016; at the age of 76. Beloved husband to Jeanette for 53 years of marriage. Loving father to Joanna Bellingshausen (Peter) and Jacqui Smith (Mike). Cherished grandfather of Nicolas, Matthew and Mackenzie. Whether Mike was tending to his garden or fishing with his grandchildren or even the simple tranquility of bird watching; he was always most content when he was surrounded by nature. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. A celebration of life will take place at Cherry Hill Adult Lifestyle Community (3946 Durban Lane, Vineland) on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
I too am saddened by Mike’s loss and regret not seeing more of him and Jeanette as I moved west in Canada.
My condolences to Jeanette and his family who had the great fortune to enjoy his company and wit.
Hope they have Minis where you are, Mike. Again, you can inform the traffic with a sturdy arm out the window.
So many lovely memories of our young years,all the fun and such happy times and the cars,wish we could have found you years ago,we did try many times.With love and our deepest sympathy to Jeanette and family
Mike; Your impeccable sense of humor will be missed but always remembered. I can still hear your laughter. It kept me sane during our working years together. You have raised two lovely ladies that I know you were always proud of.
You will be sadly missed but never forgotten.

Mike: you were a great man – you gave more than you ever took. Jeanette and family had a wonderful gift for many years. We will miss you.

To Jeanette & family-such a loss for us all. The pond brought him much joy & he loved it not only for himself but for the pleasure it brought to all of us. We’ll do our best to watch over her & watch her blossom. Rest in peace our friend.
Reg and I have shared quite a few dinners and laughs with Mike and Jeanette over the years.
