Astolfo, Vincent (Vince)

On February 12, 2025, Vincent (Vince) Francis Astolfo succumbed to late-
stage Parkinson’s and heart diseases. His wife Catherine (Cathy), sons and
daughters Christopher, Vanessa, Michael, Melanie, David, Rebecca, Kristen,
Kelly, James and Meredith, are bereft, as are his 10 grandchildren Jordan,
Lexie, Ben, Cate, Sydney, Trevor, Evan, Dylan, Luca, Liviana and great-
grandson Phoenix. A hole has been torn in the lives of his brothers and sisters,
Robert, Diane, Michael, Rita, Cynthia, Peter, Christine, David, Kim and Tom. He
leaves a big circle of nieces, nephews and grands who will miss his corny jokes
and wry sense of humour. Vince and Cathy were fortunate to be constantly
surrounded by cousins and friends with whom they had such glorious times.
Although he retired from education a long time ago, Vince is still remembered
by colleagues and friends from Dufferin-Peel and Toronto. Blessed with a
beautiful voice, he was a lead singer for the Jolleyballers, whose other band
members were his very good friends. Everyone is sad and shocked to lose him,
but his legacy lives on. There will be a celebration of life on Saturday, May 10,
in Brantford, so warm up those voices and bring stories to share. In the
meantime, any donations to the Parkinson’s Society or Heart and Stroke
Foundation would be appreciated.

Vince has been a friend since the early eighties. With Cathy, we worked together and with my husband Sandy, we all partied together, had dinner parties, went to the theatre and travelled together. Vince has been one of the kindest , most thoughtful and funniest friends we’ve ever had. We’re going to miss having this great guy in our lives. Condolences to Cathy and all his family.

Cathy, my heart goes out to you and everyone in the family. Loss is never easy and leaves that void that can’t be filled with words … what a lovely man he was, and you made a beautiful couple – your shared love of life and fun could be seen and felt by those in your presence. Sending much love and big hugs xoxo
