Fontes, Luis Manuel November 22, 1960 – December 2, 2023

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Luis Manuel Fontes on December 2, 2023 at the age of 63.

Luis will be deeply missed and remembered by his loving wife, Jenice; daughters Rebecca (Scotty) and Lorissa (Scott) with their mother Lucia; stepson Nicholas; grandson Wesley; and siblings Tony (Denise), Jose (Berta), and Olivia (Antonio Martins) – along with countless extended family members and close friends. Luis was predeceased by his parents Maria (nee Luis) and Antonio Moura Fontes, as well as his brother Alfred.
Luis will be remembered fondly for his magnetic and larger-than-life personality. He had a special gift for connecting with people, leaving lasting positive impressions and making friends at every turn. He was rich in spirit and playful at heart. Family and friends will forever remember his beaming smile, unmatched story-telling talent, and deep love of tropical beaches – most especially Punta Cana. He had many passions in life, including playing music, woodworking, building and flying model planes, and most recently being “Papa Lou” to his grandson.
Those lucky enough to have known and loved him will never forget him.
A Memorial Service for Luis will be held on Tuesday December 12, 2023 at 10am in the chapel at Holy Cross Cemetery & Cremation Centre, 620 Governor’s Rd. E., Paris, ON.

The world has lost a kind hearted , positive loving soul with the loss of Luis.
He was liked by all that met him , and loved by many especially loved dearly by my sister, Janice.
I did not spend a lot of time with Luis but whenever I saw him he was always kind, respectful and larger than life.
He always looked after my sister and she always looked after him, right until the lord called him home.
    Rest In Peace dear Luis.
