Their life together after WWII, started in Paris, to Brantford, to Cambridge until Don’s retirement taking them back to outside of Paris.Known for her strength as well as her perseverance, Mildred was a loving and strong supportive wife of more than 60 years, especially in the last 4 years of Don’s life.
Mildred was a woman of faith and prayer. Her place of worship in the latter years was Faith Evangelical Missionary Church in Kitchener. Thank you to her pastors who loved and nurtured her. She departed knowing that she was going to Glory with a heart filled with peace and love. What a great example to those she left behind. She will be missed but her legacy lives on.
The family would like to thank the staff and friends at Marian Retirement Residence and Riverbend Place Long Term Care Home for the love and care that was shown to Mildred in the final season of her life.

My late husband Neil and I met Mildred and Don at Christmas party in Cambridge and became good friends. We all wintered in Lakeland Florida and had many enjoyable times together. Especially playing euchre. The last winter they were there we all went together to the Hespeler Picnic held in Sebring FL.
We were able to visit them at their home near Paris when Don was ill.We visited Don in hospital and attended his funeral service.
Mildred came by with a lovely housewarming gift after we moved to Paris. We had long visit reminiscing
In the last years due to my age I didn’t see her as often as I liked ,but thought of her often.
