Wong, Shirley (aka Angelika)

Our dear mother, Shirley Wong (aka Angelika) passed away peacefully on July 11th, 2024 surrounded by her children and loved ones.  She touched many, offering her support and love in abundance, and caring for those less fortunate.  A cherished mother, a proud sister, she was a good friend and confidant to countless in her communities.  She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, compassion and self-sacrifice, deeply moving those she knew with tender warmth and generosity.  A funeral service will be held in her honour on July 20th, 2024, from 10am in the Magnolia Room at St John’s Dixie Cemetery & Crematorium, 737 Dundas St E in Mississauga (at Cawthra). We invite all who knew her to join us in remembering this truly remarkable woman.
Our mom loved colour, so please feel free to attend in an outfit you think she would have enjoyed.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish to honour her memory are encouraged to make a donation to the charity of their choice.
For those unable to attend in person, the service will be livestreamed and can be accessed by CLICKING THIS LINK.

Shirley was a caring and trusted friend for 45 years. She was compassionate and thoughtful. She believed in goodness of people without any doubt. She was a source of unlimited love and many people enjoyed her spiritual and monetary generosity.
She enjoyed unconditional love she received from Jenifer ( her daughter ) and Chris ( her son)
She appreciated the continuous support from James, father of her children, and spoke fondly of her caring siblings.
My dear friend’s loss will be felt and the memories our outings will be cherished.
