Wachnik, Henryk
Henryk (Henry) Wachnik died peacefully at the age of 61. He was admitted to Humber River Hospital in North York, in the middle of April, where he suffered three cardiac arrests and a massive stroke.
Henry is survived by his mother Emilia Wachnik, his sister Mary, brothers: Andy, Eugene, Johny, and his 10 nephews and nieces and their families. Henry didn’t have children of his own but he loved children and deeply cared for his nephews and nieces especially when they were young – he was funny and a favourite uncle to them.
Henry was born in Poland on October 27th, 1962, in the town of Nowy Kosciol, but at the age of three (in 1965) he emigrated with his parents and siblings to Canada. Since his teenage years he worked as a butcher and was very passionate about his job. Henry was a man of a big heart, often feeding less fortunate people around him and was always ready to give helping hand.
Henry will be truly missed by all who knew him. Rest in Peace!
The funeral service will be held at St. John’s Dixie Cemetery in Mississauga, 737 Dundas St East on
Saturday, July 6th at 2pm, visitation between 1pm and 2pm.
