With heavy hearts the family of Victor Jose Casanova Sr. announce his peaceful passing on Thursday, June 30, 2016; at the age of 70. Beloved husband to Zoila for 41 years of marriage. Loving father of Hugo Pinedo (Mirna), Martin Casanova (Karen), Maria Wood (Mark) and predeceased by his son Victor Casanova Jr. (Monica). Cherished grandfather to Javier, Sabrina, Hugo Jr., Shawn, Hector, Anthony, Angelina and Nathan. Remembered by his siblings Nidia and Alfonso. Victor will be dearly missed by many family and friends. Special thanks is extended to the Lakehouse staff at Silverthorn Care Community for taking care of Victor for the past three years. Visitation will take place at St. John’s Dixie Cemetery Chapel (737 Dundas Street East, Mississauga) on Saturday, July 9, 2016 from 4-8 p.m. A celebration of Victor’s life will take place at St. John’s Cemetery Chapel on Sunday, July 10, 2016 from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Memorial talk will be at 11:00 am
