DEBORAH Shirley Toombs (nee Hughes) was welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven on Friday June 14th at the age of 66. She is survived by her loving husband Wayne. Son Geoffrey (Kemei). Grandchildren Derion, Tyson, Taylor, Cayden and Maliyah. Sisters Darlene (Don) Menhennet, Allana (Rudy) Horvath, Lynn (Roger) Craig and brother Ritchie (Caroline) Hughes and many Nieces and Nephews. Extended family father-in-law Ralph, step-daughters Genevieve (Tedd) and their son Sean, Christina (Chris), and Alida (Pete). Special friend to Chrystal Hughes. Predeceased by her parents Allan and Betty Hughes, nephew Allan Hoyt and brother-in-law Jim Haig and mother-in-law Arlene Toombs.
A Celebration of Life will be held at New City Church 190 Lynden Rd Brantford on Wednesday June 19th. A reception will be held at 6:00 PM followed by a service at 7:00.
Thank you to the Staff of the Brantford General Hospital and a special thanks to Dr MacNeil, Dr Montour and Shelley Groombridge for making sure her final days were in the comfortable and loving environment of the Palliative Ward at BGH.
