In loving memory of our father, Victor Tomaschuk, who passed away on
February 11, 2024 after a lengthly illness. He was
the devoted husband of Ruth (nee Wintonyk) and loving father of Richard,
Douglas and Thomas. He will be deeply missed
by all who knew him. He is predeceased by wife Ruth and son Thomas.
One of the kindest souls on this planet, our father was a gentle, giving
man who worked tirelessly to ensure that his
family had everything they needed. He faced every challenge in life with
admirable strength and courage.
Early in life, our father learned the importance of hard work and he
instilled that same work ethic in us.
He was always there for us, whether we needed help with our homework or
just a shoulder to cry on. He was a man
of strong faith and he taught us the importance of family, hard work and
doing what is right.
Our father was a true role model who we will always look up to. A private
funeral service was held for family members only
and there will be no public funeral. In lieu of flowers, donations may be
made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation.
Father, you are now at peace but you will live on forever in our hearts.
We love you so much. Rest in peace.

Vic hired me at CI Power in Sept.1973. I was a young mechanical engineer with one year of experience. He was a great boss. He was very knowledgeable and very patient and kind. My condolences to the family. I am sorry for your loss. May he rest in peace.

I joined CI Power in 1973 as a young lawyer and met Vic and his wife Ruth for the first time. We had many fond memories of this special time in our lives working together under the same roof albeit in different departments. He was a fine gentleman and a very competent engineer. He is remembered and not forgotten.
