STEWART, Dawn (nee Young)
April 25, 1962 – January 22, 2026

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dawn Stewart, in her 64th year. Dawn faced her courageous battle with cancer with remarkable strength and humility, while continuing to bring brightness, warmth, and laughter to those around her.

Dawn was the beloved wife and best friend of Bill for 36 years, and an incredibly loving and deeply proud mother to Eryn (Brett) and Taylor (Jessica). She will be lovingly remembered by her mother, Patricia; her sister, Michele Minken (Rich); and her brother, Riseley (Sandra). Dawn was predeceased by her father, Riseley.

She was a dear sister-in-law to Lori Cummins (Dave), Bev Stewart, and Ron Stewart (Linda). Dawn was a caring and adored aunt to her many nieces and nephews, a cherished lifelong friend to her cousin Kelly Guidi, and held dear in the hearts of her extended family.

Especially kind and generous, Dawn truly lived life to its fullest. Beyond her everlasting love and devotion to her family, she enjoyed golfing, rowing, skating, cheering on the Tiger-Cats, and spending her winter months in Curaçao. Throughout her life, she felt truly blessed to have had so many wonderful, loving, and lasting friendships.

Dawn worked for 34 years as a Court Registrar with the Unified Family Court, where she earned deep admiration and respect across all levels of the local legal community.

The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the doctors and staff at The Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre, as well as the St. Peter’s Palliative Care Unit, for their exceptional care and kindness.

Friends and family are welcome to join us in Dawn’s Celebration of Life, which will take place at the Dundas Valley Golf and Curling Club on Sunday, February 1, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tributes will take place at 3:30 p.m. Notes of condolence and memories may be shared at tranquilitycremation.com.
