Lynn Marie Snell

December 23, 1946 ~ July 1, 2024

It is with profound sadness, heartache, frustration and confusion that we had to say goodbye to our beloved mother, Lynn Marie Snell.  Lynn suddenly passed away due to complications from surgery to repair a hip fracture on July 1, 2024, with her family by her side. Born on December 23, 1946, in Peterborough, Ontario, she was predeceased by her parents, Daniel Allen and Jeanne Marleau, and her brother, Daniel Allen.
Lynn was the cherished wife of the late Terry Snell. She leaves behind her loving children, Trevor (Nicole) and Tara (Tom), and her treasured grandchildren, Daniel, Lauren, Charlotte, and Hudson. She was a dear sister to Gail Hill and Richard Allen.
Lynn was raised in Peterborough, North Bay, and Toronto before settling in Mississauga. She was the heart and soul of our family and will be deeply missed. Known for her kind heart, selflessness, and meticulously clean and organized household, Lynn always saw the good in everyone and everything. She never forgot a birthday and always looked at the bright side of life.
Throughout her life, Lynn held many professional roles, but none were as important to her than raising her children and helping to raise her grandchildren. In her retirement, she loved to travel, especially cherishing the sunsets in Maui.
Lynn will be remembered for her love of family and friends, and know she will miss her sidekick Oreo, backyard balcony on Heath, KD and ground beef, McDonald’s medium roast, Joe Louis, and Netflix. Her advice to those she loved was:
“Be kind always – live every day to the fullest, life is extraordinary and have the best day you can”.
A celebration of Lynn’s life will be held on September 7th.
