SIMPSON, Doug – Passed away peacefully with his family at his side on May 20th, 2018 at Juravinski Cancer Centre in his 55th year. He will be greatly missed by his beloved wife Darlene Varga, and his children Daniel Simpson (Melissa), Leigh-Anne Simpson (Trevor), and step-children Erik (Jaclyn) Timmerman, and Adam (Jasmine) Varga. His grandchildren, Aidan, Connor, Keelie, Hailey, Taylor, and Kyleigh. His parents Lloyd and Sharon Simpson, and mother Marie Corey. Survived by his siblings Darryl (Kelly) Simpson, and Darren (Hanna) Simpson. Doug was a successful businessman, and was the proud owner of Brantford Aluminum. He enjoyed life, he loved hockey, boating, camping, and above all spending time with his six grandchildren. He was adored and respected by his children and grandchildren. Doug will be greatly missed for his sense of humour, wisdom, and love for his family. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life is being planned. A special thank you to Dr. Trus and the nurses who provided exceptional care at the Juravinski Cancer Centre, Hamilton Health Sciences. Donations can be made to the Sunshine Foundation of Canada.
