It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Janet Adriana Maria Geertruda Shadoff (nee Pothof), age 81 , on September 11, 2025 after a short battle with cancer.
Janet Adriana Shadoff was born on December 14, 1943 in Eindhoven, Netherlands and lived a life marked by her unwavering kindness and generosity, and care for her family. She is survived by her children Steve (Carla), Dave (Percy), Sue, and Linda (Jason), her grandchildren Jenny (Erik), Jacqui, Rachel (Karan), Michael, Maddie, and Justin, her siblings Mary, and Ed (Denise), and predeceased by her husband George, and her brother John (Anne).
The family will be holding a private service on September 24, 2025 at St. John’s Dixie Cemetery and Crematorium to celebrate her life.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
Rest in peace, Janet. You will be missed by all who knew and loved you.
